Research: Out of sight and out of mind? Occupational Safety and Health for Distributed Workers

 

Affinity Health at Work has combined forces with a team at the University of East Anglia to explore the health and safety implications of distributed working - where workers work away from one's employer's main location for some or all of the time. In particular, we will be looking at the leadership behaviours required to manage Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in this context.

The purpose of the research, which is funded by IOSH, is to establish the parameters of OSH leadership behaviours in work contexts characteristed by distributed working. This encompasses OSH leadership provided to line managers by OSH practitioners, and OSH leadership provided by line managers to distributed workers.
