Research: Line managers and return to work
Funded by the British Occupational Health Research Foundation (BOHRF), and conducted in collaboration with Loughborough University and Goldsmiths, University of London, this project explored line managers' behaviour in facilitating the successful return-to-work of employees on long-term sick leave due to anxiety and depression, back pain, heart disease or cancer. The outputs from the research are as follows:
- A guidance leaflet that aims to help line managers and employers manage employee return-to-work following long-term sickness absence more effectively, which is available to download from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development website - click here.
- The research report, providing full details of the research process, which can be downloaded from the BOHRF website - click here.
