Public policy

At Affinity Health at Work we are keen to support the development of public policy that uses sound scientific evidence as its basis. Our research often generates policy recommendations for Government and other national bodies and we aim to disseminate our research findings to policy makers as well as other organisations and individuals. A number of national institutions are current or past members of our Research Consortium, including the Health and Safety Executive, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Acas, Institution of Occupational Safety, Investors in People and Health and Business in the Community.

We have co-authored a discussion paper with Acas, entitled 'The future of health and wellbeing in the workplace'. This is part of the Acas 'Future of Workplace Relations' series and reviews the broadening of the health at work agenda in recent times and highlights future challenges to health and wellbeing, such as the aging workforce and economic austerity measures.
